Landholder Liaison Officer Course

After nearly a year of development and industry consultation, TDC's 'Course in Landholder Liaison Officer Services' is now registered with the national education regulator as an official vocational course. The Australian Renewables Academy with Workforce Plus are the first Registered Training Organisation to offer the course, with enrolments open now:

Course in Landholder Liaison Officer Services

Being the first and only formal qualification for this type of work, the 4-day course offers attendees a national accreditation as well as the knowledge and skill requirements to undertake project landholder engagement and land access work.

The course looks to bring the following benefits to the industry:

  • Competency-assessed and accredited Landholder Liaison representatives, so landholders, regulators and employers can expect representatives are properly qualified to undertake this work
  • Better landholder relationships with projects, in-turn leading to stronger social licence and ultimately more approvals
  • Addressing the shortage of experienced personnel needed for this work as their demand continues to increase
  • Huge opportunities to create jobs and retrain people working in regional and remote areas who upon completing this course would be qualified to join the quickly growing amount of energy and linear infrastructure projects around the country.

TDC is also working in partnership with The Energy Charter and their Landholder Engagement Training, which builds on the base knowledge and expections of the role with networking opporunities and real-world lessons as told by landholders and leaders in the industry.

Land Access Code of Practice Training

TDC offers training and awareness sessions on the Essential Service Commission's Land Access Code of Practice for companies who currently or are looking to hold a Transmission Licence. The training looks to meet the requirements found under 5.4.2 (b) of the Code of Practice, and TDC has now provided these modules to a number of potential and current Transmission Licence holders in Victoria
